Hi! I'm Sensei Molly,
For nearly 14 years, Z Self Defense Menlo Park has been more than a dojo. It's been a second home, a training ground, a confidence builder, and a dojo-shaped sanctuary where kids, teens, and adults have discovered their inner warriors... along with a surprising number of socks and water bottles. This dojo is where shy kids become loud leaders, teens learn to focus faster than their phones can distract them, and adults remember muscles they forgot they had (usually the day after class). From belt tests to block parties, we've been kicking, punching, and high fiving our way through life's challenges together.
From downtown festivals and school events to teaching Girl Scouts, Brownies, Boy Scouts, au pairs, and even local businesses how to break boards and boundaries, we've proudly stood side-by-side with this incredible community. We've taught self-defense with smiles, sparred with laughter, and built discipline and focus, all while wearing cool uniforms and maybe sweating just a little more than necessary.
But even warriors need reinforcements.
Our training carpet and floor padding have seen thousands of falls, rolls, and epic flying sidekicks. They're due for a well-earned retirement. And our AC? It bravely died in July – possibly from the sheer intensity of our training energy.
To keep our dojo safe, cool, and inspiring for all who step through our doors, we're humbly asking for your support. Whether you're a current student, a proud alumni family, or a local fan who enjoys seeing ninjas train, every contribution makes a difference.
