Hi. My name is Yvonne McDaniels. As most of you know, I had Covid and double pneumonia in 2020. I was on oxygen for a year after Covid and now am back on oxygen and have been diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis of the lungs. There is no cure for this disease except for a double lung transplant. I’m waiting for a transplant specialist in St. Louis, Missouri to make me an appointment to see if I will be a candidate. If I am, I have to move to Missouri because I have to be only 1 hour from the hospital.

I am now on a medication that costs over 1200 dollars a month and is just like a chemo pill, making me very sick. One side effect is it can damage the liver so I have to have blood work every 3-4 weeks and go to my lung specialist every 6 weeks. She is 2 hours away one way. My insurance only pays for 80% of my lab fees and for chest X-rays, cat scans, and breathing tests. Also for my oxygen. I am only on Social Security, so I’m praying my family and friends can help me even if just a small amount. If you can’t help, it is fine. I love you all. Thank you for being there for me.
