My lovely friend Yvonne is in need of a new wheelchair. If I could afford it, I'd buy it myself. She has had multiple strokes, and she is paralyzed in most of her body. She has been to skilled nursing facilities almost more times than I have visited them at my job. She is a dear friend who I have known for 20+ years. She's helped me get jobs, she's supported me every time I have been in need, and now, she is in need.

One of my favorite things she used to say to me: "You're not CONCEITED, you're CONVINCED" and "I'm too broke to pay attention!" She worked so hard to support her family that her body finally gave up.
