My love for medicine started from a very young age. Throughout my education, I have centered this interest by studying various biological mechanisms leading to a degree in Neuroscience in 2018. Upon graduating, I have had the opportunity to work in anesthesiology clinical research- an experience that enhanced my understanding of the practice of medicine and cemented my interest in pursuing this further.
In efforts to make this dream a reality, I was offered entry to Trinity College Dublin School of Medicine. As one of the best universities in Ireland, Trinity provides excellent training in clinical medicine and research and provides students with world class education. While attending this university a step closer to achieving my goal, I am unable to do so without the promise of completely being able to finance this education.
Therefore, I am fundraising in hopes of securing enough funds to pay for the 2021-22 academic year (which is set at $50,000). Although I have worked and saved for the past 3 years to help cover my potential medical school expenses (such as housing, books, administrative fees and living expenses), my current funds are not enough to cover tuition for this academic year and subsequent years. Additionally, I am not eligible to apply for private student loans due to my status as an international student in the US and do not have any scholarships/familial support to help alleviate my financial burden. The amount raised from this fundraiser will be completely directed towards covering part of tuition and associated fees. Any amount donated will be greatly appreciated!
