Help Yvonne and Daughter Move Forward After Fire
Donation protected
When my sister left her home in the Palisades on Tuesday morning, January 7th, she had no idea that she would never be able to return. Around 11am, her daughter was safely evacuated from her preschool in the Palisades while Yvonne was still at work in Santa Monica at the school where she is a dedicated 5th/6th grade teacher. Less than two hours later, a mandatory evacuation was ordered in her neighborhood. She and my niece, who just turned four last month, have lost everything.
My sister, a single mom, teacher, and resident of Los Angeles for 19 years, has called the Palisades home for the past five years. The place where she built her life and raised her daughter is now gone, and my niece’s school has burned down as well.
We are reaching out to ask for your support in helping Yvonne and her young daughter move forward with their lives after this devastating loss. This is an incomprehensibly difficult time and any support will mean the world to them.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and compassion.
Sincerely,
Adriana (Yvonne's sister)
