Hi, my name is Yvette.
I am retired. I recently became very ill. On New Year's Eve 2017, I became very sick with back pain. Blood was flowing out of me. I went to the hospital that night. The doctors gave me a CAT scan. Their diagnosis was a kidney tumor. They wanted to operate the next day if the pain continued. Miraculously, the pain stopped and I left the hospital because everything happened so fast and I didn't want to lose my right kidney.
On the New Year's Eve night before I got sick, I was listening to the radio and a medical doctor was giving a testimony on how he helped a person with kidney cancer through radiosurgery. I was listening to the radio station because my husband had kidney issues, not me. Well, after leaving the hospital, I made an appointment with the doctor who uses alternative measures (radiosurgery). I had 10 treatments and my pain and blood ceased. The tumor started shrinking. I was happy because I didn't have to have chemotherapy. We monitored the tumor every 6 months using sonograms and CAT scans. I was feeling pretty well. Then on June 9th, 2023, my foot started to hurt. Two days later, my legs began to swell and a red rash broke out all over my legs. I just started a new job. The doctor at Urgent Care sent me to the emergency room. The hospital doctors didn't know what was happening. They gave me one Benadryl and sent me home. They told me to go to a dermatologist and to see my primary care doctor. I was diagnosed with inflammatory blood. However, no one could help me. My legs swelled up and I was not able to walk on my own. Finally, after months of seeing different doctors and going through many tests, they finally saw that the kidney tumor was growing rapidly and it must come out.
Well, I stayed in the hospital from February to the end of March. Then they transferred me to another hospital for a urologist who would take my case because it was too difficult and complicated to do the surgery.
Finally, in April, three surgeons had to do the surgery. Thank God, he brought me out of surgery alive because the head surgeon continued to state, 'you may not come off the table alive.' After surgery, I had to get dialysis which is temporary. Two months later, I'm still on dialysis three times a week. In August, we are having a family reunion on a cruise. This cruise was initiated by me. My family was experiencing so many untimely deaths. I wanted a family reunion as soon as possible. Thanks to my lovely cousins who are managing this cruise.
At this time, I'm not able to attend my family reunion if I cannot pay for Dialysis at Sea.
They are asking for $6100 for the three days I need for dialysis. $3600 for the machine and $2500 for the nurse. My Aetna insurance will not pay or reimburse fees for out-of-network providers.
Aetna refused to pay for all of my hospital bills including all my blood work. I need to raise $10,000 as soon as possible for medical bills and dialysis sessions on the cruise.
May God touch your heart to assist me at this time.
Thank you, and God bless you.
