My name is Adriana and I’m helping my friend Yvette raise fund for her family. She is a teacher who has three boys and until a few weeks ago she had a healthy husband. Unfortunately, he contracted COVID and as a result he developed a rare desease that left him completely paralyzed and is in need of 24 hour care. His condition requires medical attention for months in hopes that he makes a full recovery. In the meantime, she is left to take care of her three boys and her husband by herself.

Her husband is now in rehab and is getting discharged to her care this Friday, making her the sole caregiver. Since he’s completely paralyzed, he will need 24 hour care. His insurance does not cover the cost

of someone to help while she’s at work. She is going to need help to pay his medical bills and continue to cover basic bills on her own, possibly without a job if she has to stay home to care for her husband. Her boys are too young to help. She doesn’t know how she and her boys are going to make it without her husband’s help.
