Help Yvette Rebuild After Devastating Accident

October 30th, 2024
Yvette had made the bold decision to close her personal salon business and residency of over 25 years from Florida to Illinois in hopes to live closer to her two sons and grand babies. She was so incredibly excited for these new opportunities and experience.
Raymond (her son) flew to Florida to help aid in the move and logistics of all her personal and business belongings.
They were traveling across the Tennessee/Georgia state line when tragedy struck and they were powerfully rear ended by a negligent driver in a even larger box truck.
The forceful impact was so intense the trailer with her car being towed, ended up in front of them when the vehicles finally came to a stop. The moving truck lost complete control and crashed into the guard rail causing over 120 feet of damage, ultimately causing the entire truck to violently flip with both of them and their dog inside.
Within seconds Yvette lost her entire business, personal belongings, and car. Her entire life was in those vehicles.
Witnesses helped pull them and Lily out of the flipped over truck with leaking fluids coming from engine.
They were transferred to the hospital by ambulance in Tennessee.
By the grace of God, their injuries were thankfully not life threatening, but the images and reality of Yvette's situation was not salvageable.
They stayed for 2 more days in Tennessee in hopes to retrieve what they could, but unfortunately everything is covered in glass, fiber glass, liquids or shattered.
From all her hair salon furniture & tools, supplies, personal belongings, medications, clothes, mementos, etc...
e v e r y t h i n g is damaged or destroyed and has to be discarded.
No one could plan for such a tragedy but I believe the community, her friends and people that know and love her, can come together and help her rebuild some of her life that was lost.
Your prayers have been so appreciated more than we can put into words, but I know we can do more for her.
