Help Yuzu Recover From His Shoe Addiction

please...my son...he was sick
Hi y'all,
In August we noticed that Yuzu, our beautiful boy of 4 years, wasn't eating. He typically had a voracious appetite so we were quite concerned and brought him to our vet and then the animal hospital where he stayed for days.
X-rays and CT scans they ran didn't show anything, so Yuzu ultimately came home without us knowing what went wrong. He resumed eating but took a sharp turn for the worse a month later and was quickly back at VERG.
After even more imaging came back showing severe inflammation and fluid in his abdomen, doctors performed an emergency exploratory surgery suspecting a lymphoma or autoimmune disease. We spent the day fearing we were going to lose him, but the surgeon called us with good (?) news that evening: they had found and removed an obstruction in his intestines that they were convinced was the issue behind everything. Our little boy had eaten a shoe (he gets this from his father).
Since coming home this time, Yuzu is like a kitten again. He's sooo full of energy (and chicken). We also brought home a massive bill with us, though. Lemonade, our insurer, covered a large chunk of the ~$12k total. The remainder of these unexpected charges have gone onto various credit cards with high interest rates, and I'll be struggling to pay these off for a long time.
If you'd like to contribute to these costs we'll be eternally grateful, and Yuzu will DEFINITELY let/force you to rub his tummy once all the hair grows back. Thank you!!!
