I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart to share the story of my beloved two-year-old kitty, Yuno.

On August 13th, Yuno ingested a poisonous substance and had to be rushed to urgent care, where he spent almost two days receiving critical treatment. The bill for that stay alone, including medication to take home, came to about $3,200. Yuno was discharged from the emergency vet, and we hoped he was on the mend. However, when we did his blood work the next day, the vets discovered that his liver had been damaged, which could be deadly if not treated promptly. They strongly recommended that Yuno be hospitalized again for several days at least, but I simply cannot afford it.

As a result, I’m doing my best to care for him at home, but the situation is far from ideal.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time Yuno has faced serious health challenges. For some time now, he has been battling a chronic and worsening eye condition. Despite numerous vet visits, treatments, and medications, there has been little improvement, and no conclusive diagnosis has been made. Yuno has undergone extensive tests, but his condition continues to deteriorate, and the possibility of eye surgery is looming, which comes with a hefty price tag that I’m struggling to meet.

This unexpected emergency has added an overwhelming financial burden to an already difficult situation. Over the past two years, I have worked tirelessly, taking on extra hours to cover Yuno’s medical bills, but this latest emergency is beyond my means.

Yuno is not just a pet; he’s a part of the family. He’s a lively, affectionate cat who has shown incredible resilience in the face of his health challenges. Despite everything, Yuno still manages to show his love and affection every day.
