Hi everyone,
I’m writing this to ask for support for my 5-year-old Golden Retriever, Yuki.
This week, our worst nightmare happened. We found out Yuki had massive growths on her spleen—the size of grapefruits—that were threatening her life. There was no time to think; we immediately rushed her into emergency surgery to have her spleen removed.
We didn't hesitate to do whatever it took to save her, and I am so thankful to say the surgery was successful. She is currently home recovering with her 2-year-old sister, Fumi, by her side.
However, the cost of saving her life was overwhelming. The emergency surgery was so extensive that it completely exhausted her pet insurance coverage. We have maxed out her policy, meaning we are now facing her recovery period—including pathology reports, medications, and follow-up visits—with zero insurance support remaining.
We are starting this GoFundMe to help us manage the costs that exceeded her insurance limit and to build a fund for her ongoing care now that her coverage is depleted.
Yuki is the heart of our family. If you are able to chip in to help us get through this recovery without our safety net, we would be forever grateful.
