Yuki is an American Shorthair cat who was rescued from the woods as a tiny kitten, along with his siblings, by Courtney. For the past 2.5 years, Courtney has given Yuki and his sister Mei a loving home. They are her first pets, and she’s devoted to their well-being. Recently, Yuki suddenly became very ill, stopped eating, and began vomiting. After several vet visits, it was discovered that he had ingested something that became trapped in his large intestine, requiring emergency surgery.

Yuki’s ordeal didn’t end there. After his first surgery, he developed a dangerously high fever and became septic. The veterinary team discovered that his large intestine was damaged and leaking, forcing them to perform a second emergency surgery to remove the affected sections and repair his intestine. Throughout this crisis, Courtney was by Yuki’s side, refusing to put a price on his life and doing everything possible to save him.

Now that Yuki is home, his recovery is far from over. He needs 24-hour care, multiple medications, and constant monitoring to prevent infection—a risk that could still threaten his life. The costs of his emergency care and ongoing treatment have been overwhelming, and help is needed to cover these expenses so Yuki can continue his recovery in the loving home he’s always known. On top of everything, Courtney is juggling her job while making sure Yuki receives the care and attention he needs every day.
