Hello, my name is Joe. I am looking for help. I have an 8-year-old White Husky that is in need. She recently got an infection on her paw. What I and the vet first thought was that she might have gotten a splinter. A week after meds and paw soaks, the area seemed to have gotten worse. I took Yuki for a second vet visit and was told this could be a wart, and their opinion was to go to a dermatologist and a surgeon specialist. As of today, August 20th, 2025, I just came back from the surgeon. I was told they can't tell what it could be. It didn't seem like a typical wart the surgeon has seen. Yuki was told she will need X-rays and has to be put under. They want to know what is the issue that is causing her pain. The surgeon even mentioned if this growth is in her bone, they will need to amputate the toe. The Surgeon even said the infection could be cancerous. The bill was estimated to be $7000 for all the X-rays, meds, and possible hospital stay costs. I am looking for any type of help. We just got the diagnosis today, and it’s why I started this process now. I don’t want to waste anytime, the infection could get worse. I am looking for any help to save Yuki's paw and to relieve her pain. The help will all go to Yuki's medical needs. Times are tough, and I want her to feel at ease.
