Help Yuki get back on the snow

My name is Yuki Kadono.

I am a professional snowboarder from Japan.

Currently I am living in the United States with an athlete Visa, living in Jackson Wyoming,to make my dream come true as a professional snowboarder.

At the end of February, I fractured the patella bone while filming in the backcountry and had surgery the next day.

Due to the situation of the injury, I was diagnosed with immediate surgery, so I didn't have the choice to go back to Japan and have surgery.

Most people don’t know this but not everyone qualifies for insurance in the US, due to my visa and no green card/ citizenship I have been working here without insurance.

No one ever thinks an accident will happen to them, unfortunately it did to me.

Being told I had to have immediate surgery I wasn’t sure what that would turn into.

I am on my way to recovery in good spirits but as this happens the medical bills are starting to come.

The bills are out of my budget and unfortunately I am not able to pay them. With no family here in the US just a supportive community of friends who are helping when they can.

No one ever wants to ask for help but I need help with the bills and I understand this platform is used for these kinds of scenarios.
