Hi, my name is Jun, and I'm organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my cousin, Yuhang Lu, and his family in China.

Yuhang is just 30 years old. He is a loving husband and the father of two young children—a 4-year-old and an 8-month-old baby.

Earlier this year, what seemed like a simple arm injury turned into devastating news. After a series of examinations and a biopsy, Yuhang was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer.

Fortunately, his doctors have confirmed that there is currently no evidence of cancer in his lungs, giving him a meaningful opportunity to pursue curative treatment.

To receive specialized treatment, Yuhang now travels from his hometown in Anhui Province to Shanghai General Hospital for chemotherapy. After each treatment, he returns home to recover before traveling back to Shanghai for the next cycle, avoiding the cost of staying in the city between treatments. His treatment plan includes multiple rounds of chemotherapy, major surgery, rehabilitation, and long-term follow-up care. The exact surgical approach will depend on how well the tumor responds to chemotherapy and what offers him the best chance of recovery.

Yuhang comes from a humble farming family in a small town in Anhui. His parents have spent their lives farming and taking temporary jobs to support the family. Since his diagnosis, the family has done everything they reasonably can financially—using most of their savings, borrowing from relatives and friends, and relying on China's public health insurance. Even after insurance reimbursement and these tremendous efforts, they still face an estimated funding gap of about USD $50,000 to complete Yuhang's treatment and recovery.

While Yuhang focuses on fighting cancer, his father accompanies him on every trip to Shanghai for treatment. His mother stays home to help care for the children, while his wife works hard to earn income and support the family during this incredibly difficult time.

Despite everything, Yuhang has never talked about giving up. His greatest hope is simple: to beat cancer, return to his family, and watch his children grow up.

Why I'm Organizing This Fundraiser

Earlier this year, Yuhang's family launched a verified medical crowdfunding campaign in China to help cover the initial costs of his treatment. They are deeply grateful for the generosity and support they received. The campaign concluded after raising RMB 34,543 (approximately USD $4,800).

Even with that support, the family's own financial resources, insurance reimbursement, and help from relatives and friends, there remains an estimated USD $50,000 funding gap before Yuhang can complete his treatment and recovery.

As Yuhang's cousin living in New York, I'm organizing this GoFundMe so that friends, colleagues, and compassionate people around the world have a secure and convenient way to support his family during this difficult time.
