I am Deepika Patel, raising funds for my nephew Yug Patel. I am helping my younger sibling sister raise money for her son since gofundme does not work in Nairobi,Kenya and the following is our painful story:
Yug is 9 years old living with his parents and a 2 year old sibling. He loves his Legos and cars and is a very fun loving and caring elder brother.
Yug suddenly had some rashes all over his body, stomach ache, diarrhoea and vomiting after which he was diagnosed with KAWASAKI VIRUS and was admitted and taken to ICU with low blood pressure at Gertrude's Children's Hospital, Nairobi. Next day he had Pneumonia after which his heart, lungs and kidney got infected. His whole body and immune system deteriorated. He is currently in a Very Critical Condition.
It is breaking our hearts to see our little boy suffering.
Nairobi does not have a medicare system like Australia due to which the cost of medical treatment is very huge for the family.
Just an indicative cost of an injection is approx. $16000 AUD each.
