Help YTI students get to the Texas BBQ World Championship

For anyone reading this that doesn't know me, my name is Joe Balberchak. This year, I started a journey to change careers after 14 years as a physical therapist assistant. My love for cooking has been around since I was young, but I never thought it would lead me to where it has today. Recently I, as well as a few other students from York Technical Institute-Lancaster, entered an open fire grilling competition for the first time. To our surprise, my teammate and I placed top 5 in two categories that have awarded us with a chance to go to Texas to compete in an invitation only, World Championship. We are looking to raise money to assist us in getting there for this potential once in a lifetime opportunity in March. Funds will help pay for entry fees, travel expenses, supplies, etc. We are hoping to also put the word out there that even students from a small culinary school in south central PA can hang with BBQ vets of the south.
