Hello my name is Ada Bennett, the Managing Director of YQR Vintique Market. Our Market is the home for two beautiful cats named Mumu and Briquette. Both cats came to us from a colony behind the building. They had been living in another part of the building for a couple of years without us knowing.

Since 2024 we have befriended and taken responsibility for these lovely girls! Mumu was more shy and took much longer to trust. Recently Mumu had a scratch above her eye. I took her to the vet to get treated. It was at that time that we discovered that Mumu had contracted a respiratory infection that caused dental decay. This is the most common cause of tooth decay in cats.

She has root exposure on two back teeth. She will need three back teeth pulled, treatment for gingivitis and descaling of all the teeth. This will cost a considerable amount as Mumu will have to be put under anesthesia. We know the love that our customers have for these sweet girls. We cannot afford the surgery on our own. Please consider a donation, no matter how small. Mumu is only 5.5 years old and has so much happy life ahead of her.

She is likely in pain but still has a great attitude and accepts petting. I will be caring for her at my home while she heals. Help us take care of this important member of our Market community! Any excess after surgery will be used for Briquette’s next vet appointment.
