Urgent: Help Youssef's Family Escape Gaza to Safety

Dear friends,

My name is Layla, reaching out on behalf of Youssef Munir, a determined 19-year-old from Gaza, who is fighting for the safety of his family amidst escalating conflict. Youssef, alongside his parents, brother and sister, urgently need your help to evacuate to a place of safety.

The Munir Family's Desperate Situation:

Youssef’s family, including his 21-year-old brother Ismail, 12-year-old sister Sahar, and their parents Nadia and Munir, are caught in a dire situation.

Both parents suffer from chronic illnesses (high blood pressure and diabetes), which have become increasingly difficult to manage due to scarce medical supplies. Additionally, Sahar's treatment for vitiligo has been halted.

Following the traumatic events that destroyed their sense of normal life, their home was destroyed, they’ve been displaced multiple times & now living in a tent in Rafah — the area soon expected to be under severe threat due to the high-risk of an imminent ground invasion.

Continuous Displacement: The Munir Family's Desperate Search for Safety

The journey of Youssef's family has been a testament to survival amid continual displacement. From the once-peaceful streets of the Al-Zaytoun quarter to the fraught escapes to Deir al-Balah, Khan Yunis, and Rafah, they've been chased by conflict to the edge of an uncertain and dangerous horizon.

Why They Need to Leave Now:

Originally, Youssef hoped to rebuild their home in Gaza, but the reality has grown too perilous. With Rafah, their last refuge, under threat, the risk of staying has become too great. They’ve made the heart-wrenching decision to leave their homeland to seek safety and start anew, ensuring the well-being and medical care his family urgently needs.

How will your support be used:

• Evacuation Costs: £6000 per adult (4 adults) and £2500 for Sahar to cross the Rafah border safely.

• Travel and Setup: £1000 in transfer fees to facilitate their journey.

• Relocation Support: After evacuation, the family will need £2500 for six months of rent/living expenses & food & an additional £3000 for initial settling in expenses to establish themselves in a new country.
