Help Youssef and his Family get out from danger

Hi, I’m Alexa from Canada and I am raising funds for Youssef, a young man and his family displaced like so many others in Gaza due to the ongoing unthinkable conflict that has already raged on for far too long. Here’s his story:

“Hello, my name is Youssef, and I am 20 years old. I come from Gaza, a place that has endured years of hardship, and life here has been incredibly challenging. Despite the constant struggles, I’ve always believed in the power of passion, determination, and hard work to change my future. Two years ago, after finishing high school, I dreamed of going to university to study and build a better life. Unfortunately, due to our family’s financial struggles, I wasn’t able to pursue that dream. Instead, I decided to follow a different path — one that could help me support myself and my family.

I discovered my love for barbering and began learning the craft. My family, which consists of 8 people, has always been my biggest motivation. I wanted to support them and give them a better future. However, just as I was beginning to build something meaningful, the situation in Gaza worsened. War erupted once again, and the impact on my life and my community was devastating.

The conflict in Gaza has torn apart homes, families, and entire neighborhoods. We were forced to leave our home, displaced with nowhere to go. My job as a barber was lost, and the few tools I had were either damaged or destroyed in the chaos. Our lives became even harder. The power cuts, scarcity of basic supplies, and the constant threat of violence have made it almost impossible to maintain a normal life.

Despite all this, I have never lost hope. I continue to believe that education and hard work can provide a path to a better future, not just for me, but for my family and my community. My dream is to continue my studies and eventually open my own barbershop — a place where I can support my family and provide stability for others in Gaza who have also been affected by the war. But the challenges are overwhelming, and I lack the financial means to make it happen on my own.

That’s why I’m reaching out for help today. I need your support to make my dreams a reality. With your assistance, I can:

1. Enroll in University – I want to pursue my education and gain the knowledge I need to build a future for myself and my family. Education will allow me to grow my business and make a real difference in my community.

2. Expand My Barbering Skills – I plan to improve my skills and become a better barber, eventually opening my own barbershop that will provide jobs and support others in my community.

3. Help My Family – Your support would enable me to provide a better life for my family during these incredibly difficult times. We’ve already lost so much, but with your help, I can give them the stability and hope they deserve.
