Help Young Parents Recover from Storm Damage
Donation protected
My name is Lisa and I’m trying help my daughter, Jessica and my son-in-law, Tyler. They were hit pretty hard during Hurricane Helene. They do have insurance but their deductible is quite high and they will also have to replace all of their food that got spoiled. They also have travel expenses and other miscellaneous costs. We are still not sure if their insurance will cover the cost of replacement of their fence that was completely or the removal of the huge tree that fell across their back yard. Apparently, they are not eligible for FEMA. These are wonderful, Godly young parents of two fantastic children and have already had a rough year. Any help would be appreciated. All funds will go directly to pay the deductible and the costs of anything insurance will not cover. Thank you in advance for any donation.
UPDATE 10-3-24
They have had word that their a/c has now failed and Update 10-3-24:
They are still sheltering with family but have had word that now their a/c has given up and the neighbors that lost a tree that landed across their backyard now has ANOTHER tree falling and this one is leaning toward their home (toward the master bedroom). The tree in question belongs to the neighbor beside them and they are elderly and not in the best health. They tried to arrange for someone to come cut it for the neighbors (and themselves) but the people didn’t show up. We know God is with us during good and bad times but this year has been a true test of their faith (and their faith is mighty). They are tired both in body and in spirit. Please, pass the word and help if you can. Even if it’s only in prayet
