Help Bring Opera to Life in Our Community!
We’re raising $10,000 to produce an unforgettable community opera double bill: Puccini’s Suor Angelica and Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti — performed by passionate local artists, for the Birmingham community and beyond.
Our performances will take place the last weekend of May and the first weekend of June, and we need your help to make them happen!
Why This Project Matters
Opera is powerful, emotional, and deeply human — and we believe it should be accessible to everyone. These two works explore grief, joy, isolation, and love in ways that resonate across generations. By supporting this project, you help us share those stories with new audiences, in a way that’s rooted in our local community.
This production also creates opportunities for local performers, musicians, and creatives to come together, share their craft, and bring something extraordinary to the stage — all while being fairly compensated for their work.
Where Your Money Goes
Every dollar you give helps us cover essential production costs, including:
Fair pay for local artists, designers, and crew
Set, costumes, and props
Marketing and printing materials
Rehearsal space and performance insurance
Photography and documentation
Administrative expenses and legal filings
We’re keeping the budget lean but professional — and your support is what makes this possible!
Support Local Arts
Whether you donate $10 or $2,500, you’re helping make opera more accessible and supporting the vibrant local arts community that makes Birmingham such a special place to live.
Even if you can’t contribute financially, please consider sharing this campaign with friends and family. Every share helps us reach our goal.
Let’s make music. Let’s tell stories. Let’s make art happen — together.
Thank you from all of us in the cast, crew, and creative team.
