On May 10 2023, Wednesday evening, Miguel Calzada, 24 years old (a son, brother, cousin and uncle) sacrificed his life to help save 2 children who had fallen into Brays Bayou. While he was able to get the children to shore, the currents were to strong and overpowered him. Our family searched tirelessly for 2 days until his body was found on May 12, 2023.
