6 year old Cooroy local, Blake Gamble, a boy full of life, energy and a smile that could light up the world. Blake has grown up in Cooroy and his mum is a huge support to the school and cooroy community.
On Monday the 2nd of May, young Blake suffered serious burns to his face and body accidentally pulling a cupboard down on top of himself, containing a kettle full of hot water.

Tabatha was quick to put him into a cool shower and phone emergency services. However due to a previous natural disaster in February causing a landslide in Blakes driveway and roads leading up to it in Black Mountain, emergency services were unable to reach them! Tabatha was forced to carry young Blakes burnt body across rubble and mud to reach the ambulance on the other side. Blake was quickly rushed to Royal Childrens Hospital in Brisbane for treatment.
Blake suffered burns to 19% of his body. He's since been released from hospital but has to return to the Bisbane based Burns Unit twice weekly for essential treatment.
Tabatha has had to put everything on hold to be there for her son. The cost of travel, accommodation and other bills are quickly piling up.
Since the incident the weather has caused additional troubles with flooding to the area and Tabatha is now unable to take Blake home! Thus adding to the costs associated with Blake’s recovery.
Tabatha has put all she has towards helping little Blake get the help he desperately needs to heal. Can we do the same?
I would love to see a strong, caring community band together to support an equally strong and loving mother and her son so full of life and joy.
