The trauma of child sexual abuse doesn't stop when the abuse itself stops.
It doesn't stop after you become an adult.
It doesn't stop when you get married or have kids.
It doesn't stop when you come forward and disclose your story.
And it doesn't even stop after some therapy and medication.
It lasts a lifetime and requires time, patience and money to heal.. In fact, over a survivor's lifetime, they will likely need hundreds of thousands of dollars to heal from the trauma of sexual abuse. *
Yonah knows this all too well. He's fighting like hell for his life, after years and years of sexual abuse and assault he suffered as a child at the hands of rabbis and teachers, starting at the age of ten. He's fighting like hell to stay sober. And he's fighting like hell to heal, so that he can be the best father he can be to his 4 children and live a life that is not constantly overshadowed by the pain he lives with on a daily basis, stemming from his abuse and trauma.
But that takes time and money.
Yonah is currently seeking intense inpatient treatment for several weeks, the cost of which is not covered by insurance. This campaign is to help ease the financial burden involved in paying for the treatment program, which is lifesaving for him and his family.
Your donation is tremendously appreciated and will go a long way in helping Yonah feel hopeful about his journey of healing.
