My name is Yolanda Ahiable and I graduated from Lincoln University May 2026 with a degree in Biology. Honestly, I never thought life after graduation would be the way it is right now but I'm in deep debt because the last few months of school my mother was also having a hard time helping to pay school fees so I used my credit card not wanting to be paid back because we're in it together. I also thought I'd manage to land one of the 50 plus jobs I applied for and I am still applying for or one last internship, however I have not been able to. I have currently been trying to at the very least put that restless energy into my own baking business, however ingredients are expensive and to be quite frank it's intimidating trying to put my all into myself when all my life I have had the security of working overtime and pulling doubles and overnight shifts for the income I needed and putting it into something brand new that I am solely responsible for. I am a worker by nature, and I'm also an aspiring Dermatologist. When the time is right I do plan to attend medical school, for the time being I am enrolled for a surgical tech program because well if I can't get hired, I have to do what I know how to, which is be a student and bake of course. I created this gofundme because honestly I have a big problem reaching out for help, especially with financial issues because I am so used to and I much prefer being able to be a resource for others but now that all I have to offer other people is prayers and service I must admit, I do need help. My student loan repayments are coming up in November, my credit card has reached zero for the first time and I do have monthly rent payments which is fortunately discounted because I live with my best friend under her parents roof. I must say I am grateful to God that this time around I am not homeless because I experienced that from about 2019 to 2022.
