On July 1st, Yoel was involved in a bike accident. It's unclear what caused it, and he can't remember it due to his injury, but he fell off his bike and sustained injuries to his head. Initially the doctors thought it was just a concussion, but after doing a CT scan, they discovered that he was bleeding in his brain. While the bleed was not severe, and Yoel will recover, he is currently in a lot of pain and will require some extended care in a rehab facility to heal. 

This is a difficult situation for Yoel and his family. He will not be able to work in the near future, and Mindy, his wife, is going to be the only parent and breadwinner until he is healed. Juggling those duties while also caring for their two children is going to be very difficult. That coupled with the expense of Yoel's treatment is why I'm asking you to donate today. 

Yoel and Mindy are the kinds of people who would give you the shirts off their backs if they thought you needed it, and while they generally would never ask for help themselves, I'm raising this money for them because in times like these it's incumbent upon friends, family, and community, to come together and do what they can to support the people they care about. 

The money we raise will go toward covering expenses while Yoel is in the hospital, pay for some of the costs of treatment, and most importantly give a sense of stability to Mindy, Yoel, and their family so that they can focus on Yoel's healing instead of worrying about how to pay bills or buy groceries.
