Help Yinka create her Inspirational book

Hi there My name Yinka

I live in Stockport, at present single mother of 4 children, three girls and a boy and grandparent of 2 boys.

12 years ago on my daughter’s 11th birthday the house was ready for all her friends to come for a birthday party. I went to collect my youngest two children from nursery and collapsed. I spent 9 weeks in a coma and woke up in hospital unable to feel my legs, told I may never walk again, bolt in my head, blind, no movement in my right arm or hand, unable to speak, in excruciating pain and told I’d suffer a life of cognitive problems. I had suffered a massive brain haemorrhage, while going to pick my children up from nursery, I never made it to my daughter’s birthday party that day.

The day I walked out of hospital doctors told me you’ll be back and they would keep my bed for me. I never returned. I went on a roller coaster journey of recovery. 7 years later I began running an Inspirational, Self development book club bringing people together through my love of books and the teachings of those books. I never expected it to go very far as I had never been to a bookclub or even knew what they did at one. But I went with a random idea to run a bookclub. As time went on I would teach people different techniques and people would also attend to hear my story of how I recovered and wanted to learn the techniques I had used to get to where I was after my brain haemorrhage. People would often ask if I would help  them in a 1 to 1 session to teach them all I had learnt and done through my experiences. I would often get asked to attend different events as a speaker to share my empowering story and then went on to create workshops from the books I had read. I knew the power of these books because I had already lived them before I knew they even existed and I had used these techniques through my recovery. I would have 10 to 14 people attend workshops or bookclubs and 20 to 40 people at speaking events I went to.

Covid 19 hit and I was no longer able to run live sessions as homeschooling had it own challenges, it took up a lot of time and energy . 9 month later I was regularly using all the techniques I had learnt through the brain injury and all the books I had read, to support myself through being at home every day as a single parent, it certainly came with many challenges. I was asked if I would come and create a workshop for a law of attraction group from London, a few days later I was asked from a woman who ran a self development book club in America if I would run a workshop on abundance. I was quite reluctant as I wasn’t great with technology and doubted if it would have any impact for anyone, but as I was asked by two people in such short space of time I remembered what I had read from Richard Branson book Screw it lets do it, which basically said if someone asks you do something your not sure on just say yes and wing it, so I decided to say yes. Well just over a year later I am running online events, with over 2000 members many people coming to hear my story, practice the teaching and to read and learn the teachings of the the inspirational books I create sessions out of. Transforming peoples lives through the power of books.

I have created many workshops, bookclub sessions with many amazing inspirational author’s books, now its time to create my own. I created Hear my voice; inspirational, self development book club which can be found on Meetup, running non profit events. Inspiring everyone regardless of financial statues, to live their dreams and hearts desire.

It’s now time for me to share my story. All my online events I have ran for free with the support of peoples donations to keep it running and to cover all the cost to allow me to continue running these events and changing peoples lives. It has been phenomenal experience to be able to watch how many lives it has changed. Now I am asking for funding to help me create two books, Wiggle Your Toes book sharing my story and experiences and Wiggle Your Toes Workbook sharing all the techniques I learned and used to get to where I am today. Sharing the meaning behind Wiggle Your Toes. Once the book is created, putting together free workshop that people can come to, so they can hear my story and learn techniques in the hope that they will be inspired to go above and beyond their own illnesses, their own self doubt, their own belief system, so they can also become the miracle in their own story.

The brain haemorrhage still has some impact on my health, I am partially sighted, there is still some impact to my right arm and cognitively things take more time to process and remember, but creating these online events supporting so many people has been so rewarding to be able to give to people. Going from 5 to 14 members attending live events from 25 to over 100 in online sessions, has been an incredible experience. I will continue hosting these events as long as people need it.

I am asking for your help in supporting me in raising £5000 to make it possible for Wiggle Your Toes book and Workbook to be published by using assisted publishing route, enabling me to continue giving this support to those that are struggling, physically mentally or emotionally and have forgotten the power they have within them.

The purpose of Hear my voice book club was to give every story, every experience, every pain, every sorrow, every illness a voice to be heard it has now evolved into giving my book a voice to be heard and seen, to empower people to creating a story that they truly want to be living.

Thank you for taking the time to read and hopefully feel inspired to donate to see these books come to life.
