When I first started this GoFundMe, I was told I needed $3,000 to save my toe. But as time went by and the doctors did more research, we got some hopeful news — they don’t have to cut my toe off to save it.
I had surgery on Monday, and they placed prosthetic skin over my big toe. Now, to help it heal properly and fight off infection and bacteria, I need Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) treatments.
I called four different doctor’s offices to find the best option, and HBOT is proven to:
✅ Fight infection
✅ Promote healing
✅ Save tissue
✅ And in many cases, prevent amputation
The cost for 25 HBOT sessions is about $12,000. My insurance is covering 75%, but I’m responsible for the rest. Instead of having to pay $3,000 upfront out of pocket, I now only have to meet a $500 deductible.
Thanks to all of your help so far, I’m almost there — I’m just $163 short.
