HELP Yeshey Namgyal (Stabbing Survivor)
Donation protected
This fundraising campaign is initiated for Yeshey Namgyal's medical treatment and physical therapy. Yeshey Namgyal was stabbed by a homeless guy (mentally unstable) on May 7th, 2021. On an ill-fated night, Yeshey was returning home from work like any other regular day in his life when he felt a sharp pain in the back of his neck and his lower back.
As Yeshey crumpled to the ground, he saw the stabber running away as Yeshey lay helpless on the street soaked in blood and agony (read here ). Since then, he has been partially paralyzed for more than a year. Yeshey Namgay is a loving father to a 9-year-old daughter, a husband, and the sole bread earner of his family. For more than a year, Yeshey Namgyal has been supported by his friends and well-wishers from the Bhutanese community in NYC, USA.
Yeshey Namgyal has been an active social worker and videographer for specially-abled individuals in Bhutan. His spirit and enthusiasm have produced internationally recognized documentaries and short video clips on differently abled individuals in Bhutan and his works have brought him to New York and opened numerous doors for the differently abled individuals in Bhutan (read here).
Today, Yeshey Namgay has become a part of the group he was actively advocating and rendering help to. Despite being bedridden for more than a year, after being a victim of a random stabbing on the streets.
Yeshey Namgyal has not given up hope. The pain he is in cannot be described in these mere words. He needs your support in all forms and means. He counts on your generous contribution, which can restore normalcy in his life. Currently, Yeshey is receiving treatment and is expected to go under Myelomalacia surgery. The fund is being raised solely for Myelomalacia surgery.
We will be forever grateful for your help in this devastating journey that no person should ever have to experience. Your help is counted in. Thank you
