At the start of a beautiful Friday morning, Yesenia was unloading her supplies and preparing herself for her workday, but that same morning, my mother's life was completely turned upside down. While simply walking from her car to her client’s home near East 17th Avenue and Emerson Street, she was stalked, attacked, and robbed in broad daylight—just steps away from where she was trying to earn an honest living. As many of you may know, Yesenia has a trusted house-cleaning company that she has been independently running since 2003. She is loved and trusted by her clients as many of them have kept her in their family homes for decades. But recently, her life was turned upside down. At the start of her workday, my mom was assaulted and robbed at 9am on Friday, March 20th, 2026 . Within an instant, everything was changed for her.

Her car—her only way to get to work—was stolen. Her purse, with her entire livelihood and identity, was completely taken from her. For my mom, her car isn’t a luxury—it’s her livelihood. She has to drive to each client’s house to do her job. Without a car, she can’t work. Without work, she can’t support herself.

Unfortunately, her vehicle did not have full coverage at the time of the incident leaving her with nothing to claim.

My entire life, my mom has always been independent and hardworking, never asking for help. But right now, although she is embarrassed to seek help- I know she truly needs it. This situation has left her completely out of luck, and we are doing everything we can to help her get back on her feet.

We are asking for support to help replace her car so she can return to work and rebuild her life. Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a real difference for her. En una hermosa mañana, Yesenia estaba bajando sus artículos de limpieza y preparándose para comenzar su día de trabajo. Sin embargo, ese mismo día, la vida de mi mamá cambió por completo. Mientras caminaba de su carro hacia la casa de un cliente, cerca de la Avenida East 17th y la calle Emerson, fue seguida, atacada y asaltada a plena luz del día, a solo unos pasos de donde iba a trabajar honestamente.

Como muchos saben, Yesenia tiene un negocio de limpieza en el que ha trabajado por su cuenta desde el 2003. Sus clientes la quieren y confían mucho en ella, tanto que muchos la han contratado durante años para limpiar sus hogares.

Pero recientemente, todo cambió. Al comenzar su dia, mi mamá fue agredida y asaltada a las 9:00 de la mañana el viernes 20 de Marzo de 2026. En cuestión de segundos, su vida dio un giro total.Le robaron su carro, que es su único medio para ir a trabajar. También le quitaron su bolsa, donde llevaba todo lo necesario para su vida y sus documentos personales.

Desafortunadamente su Acura no tenía póliza de cobertura total dejándola sin la opción de reclamar el vehículo con su aseguranza.

Para mi mamá, su carro no es un lujo, es su herramienta de trabajo. Ella necesita manejar para llegar a las casas de sus clientes. Sin carro no puede trabajar, y sin trabajo, como todos nosotros, no puede mantenerse.

Durante toda su vida, mi mamá ha sido una mujer fuerte, independiente y muy trabajadora. Ella nunca ha pedido ayuda. Pero en esta situación la ha dejado muy vulnerable, y como familia estamos haciendo todo lo posible para ayudarla a salir adelante.

Por eso, les pedimos su apoyo para que pueda reemplazar su carro y regresar a trabajar. Cualquier donación, por pequeña que sea, hará una gran diferencia.
