Help Yesenia and her siblings

Please join us in supporting the Covarrubias family after the devasting loss of their second parent. 

In 2017, Jr, a beloved father and husband lost his long fight with cancer. His family watched helplessly as he struggled to hold on. After treatments failed, Jr. lost his battle and left a hole in the hearts of his courageous wife Nely, and loving children Yesenia (19), Andrew (15), and Miranda (7). Following Jr’s passing, Nely did everything she could to support her family on her own. She worked but slowly depleted the savings Jr had left to them because her earnings just weren’t enough to run her household and raise three children. We wish that this fundraiser was to aid Nely, but sadly this story gets worse.

Last Friday, tragedy struck again. Nely was overcome with Covid-19, and succumbed to her symptoms in a local Bakersfield hospital. The devastation that the family is facing again is tough to put to words. Faced with the responsibility of her younger siblings, Yesenia (19) has vowed to do all she can to keep her family together in her family’s home. Because Nely struggled in silence, Yesenia is now understanding just how dire their financial situation is. Unable to grieve the loss of her second parent, Yesenia is desperate for help to keep her family together and is working tirelessly to do so. 

The extended family is pulling together what little they have but it’s just not enough to make ends meet. We know that COVID-19 has brought so much grief to our world and sometimes our situations feel hopeless. Please help Yesenia, Andrew and Miranda know that they can find hope in the Lord and their community. Please help this broken family.
