Yeng came to the United States in 1979 in search of a better life. He grew up throughout California, where he worked hard to build a future from the ground up. Driven by responsibility and love for his family, Yeng earned his mechanic degree and dedicated his career to public service, working for the city to repair city buses and senior buses—helping keep communities safe and moving.
Later, Yeng moved to Minnesota, where he continued the same work ethic and commitment by working for the city to fix city buses and school buses. His work wasn’t just a job—it was a way he gave back to the community every single day.
Yeng is a devoted father of eight children and a proud grandfather to seven grandsons. He has always been a wonderful, hands-on dad who made sure to show up for his kids. No matter how busy or tired he was, he always took time to attend school events and support his children in every way he could. Family has always been the center of Yeng’s life.
Yeng has also been a big part of the Hmong community, known as a kind, hardworking, and dependable person who was always willing to help others.
On December 11, 2025, Yeng went to work as usual, never expecting that his life—and his family’s lives—would change forever. That day, he was taken by ICE. His sudden detention has placed an enormous emotional and financial burden on his family.
This GoFundMe is being organized to support Yeng and his family during this incredibly difficult time. Funds will help cover legal expenses, living costs, and provide stability for his children and grandchildren as they navigate this uncertain future.
Any donation, prayer, or share means more than words can express. Thank you for standing with Yeng and our family during this painful time.
