Help Ybor’s Feral Cats Stay Safe

Donation protected
For the past few years, I’ve been caring for a colony of around 20 feral cats in my Tampa neighborhood, especially in the Ybor area. Each cat has a name and a story, and I’ve watched them grow and change as I provide daily food and make sure they get the medical attention they need. With hurricane season approaching, the challenges of keeping these cats safe and healthy are even greater. I do my best to get them spayed and neutered, and I take them to the vet whenever emergencies arise, but the costs add up quickly.

Recently, one of our girls, Tokyo, was diagnosed with cat leukemia after a vet visit. Covering her medical bill was tough, and now there’s a real concern that she could spread the illness to the rest of the community if she isn’t separated. I can’t bring her inside because I already have two awesome cats of my own, so I’m searching for a safe solution for Tokyo while continuing to care for the rest of the colony. Most of the work falls on my shoulders, from feeding the cats every day to handling vet visits and spay/neuter procedures. When big emergencies happen, I work with a local animal rescue, but the day-to-day responsibility is mine. The funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward vet bills, cat food, and helping cats like Tokyo stay safe. Your support will make a real difference in their lives and help me provide the care they deserve, especially as hurricane season brings new risks.
