Support Yazid's Family in Gaza
Donation protected
Hello, kind souls. My name is Yazid Al-Tala'a, a father, a husband, and an artist whose life, along with my beloved family's, has been shadowed by the relentless conflict in Gaza. I share my heart with my wife, Tamadher, a beacon of strength and hope for our two beautiful children, Kenan and Eilin, aged five and three.
Our life, once filled with the simplicity of love, art, and dreams, now hangs by a thread in the face of unending turmoil.
Our Story of Love, Loss, and Art
My journey began in Gaza, carrying dreams and aspirations across the borders to where I found love and a new home. As an artist and a lecturer, I've always believed in the power of art to transcend boundaries, to heal.
My passion for calligraphy is more than art—it's a meditation, a way to find peace amidst chaos. Tamadher, my partner in life, shares a similar passion for education. As an English teacher and translator, her dream has always been to bridge cultures through language, hoping to complete her Master's degree to further contribute to our community.
The War That Stole Our Home
But war spares no one. It turned our home in the Al-Maghazi camp to rubble on Monday, March 25, 2024, leaving behind nothing but memories of laughter and dreams unfulfilled.
Imagine explaining to your children why they can't go home, why their toys and books are buried under debris. Our reality is a constant battle, not just against the physical dangers that lurk around every corner, but against the despair that threatens to consume our hope.
A Plea for Compassion
In this darkness, we reach out to you—not just as donors, but as fellow humans who cherish the sanctity of life, family, and dreams. We are planning to leave Gaza and seek peace in Cairo, Egypt, until we find our way to refuge elsewhere. We need funds for exiting the area, for staying in Cairo, including rent expenses for a family of four.
Your support could be the light that guides us to safety, to a place where Kenan and Eilin can grow up not knowing the sound of bombs but of laughter, where they can chase their dreams in broad daylight, far from the shadows of war.

How Your Help Can Rewrite Our Story
Every donation, no matter the size, is a brick in the foundation of a new beginning for us—a testament to the belief that even in the darkest times, humanity shines brightly. Your generosity will help us secure our daily necessities until we can access passage. I will continue to use art to heal, not just our wounds, but those of others who have suffered.
Your support not only helps us escape the shadows of conflict but also carries the promise of a brighter future, stitched together by the threads of compassion, understanding, and shared humanity. Please, if our story has touched your heart, help us turn the page towards a new chapter filled with hope, peace, and safety.
