Help Joyce Continue Her Fight Against a Brain Tumor – Support Needed for Ongoing Care

Hi, my name is Joy, and I’m reaching out with love and urgency for my best friend, Joyce—known to many as “Yayee.”

Joyce is one of the strongest, kindest, and most radiant souls I know. She’s also a devoted young mother of two beautiful daughters. Her life was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with a 5cm brain tumor. Despite the fear and pain, she faced brain surgery with incredible courage. But the fight isn’t over—the doctors were unable to remove the entire tumor, and Joyce is now preparing for the next stages of her treatment: radiation, hormone therapy, and extensive recovery.

Joyce can no longer work due to her condition. She has already accumulated over $100,000 in medical bills, and there’s more to come. From ongoing hospital visits to rehabilitation and therapy, the financial burden is enormous—and more than any family should have to bear alone.

Another dear friend, Khada Dhose (based in Varberg, Sweden), has already started a GoFundMe campaign titled “Two Little Hearts Need Their Mommy – Help Joyce’s Battle with a Brain Tumor.” I want to echo and build upon that heartfelt plea and also give full credit to Khada for leading the way.

As Khada so beautifully said:

“Joyce was a sunbeam in human form. Her laughter was infectious and felt like home. This illness, however, has dimmed her light.”

I see that every day. But I also see the same fierce determination in her—the same love for her girls and the same hope that one day she’ll return to them healthy and strong. I know she can make it through this—but she can’t do it alone.
