Help Yaya Move in November!

Hi friends,

Today is my 36th birthday, and here I am again, asking for some help!

I first off want to thank everyone who lended a hand when my hours got drastically cut at my job, and I ended up losing my apartment back in June. You helped me gain the funds to get a moving van and I was able to get into a 5 month sublet with one of my best friends.

Unfortunately, when I got back from Honcho in August, I went into work and my boss decided to cut my hours again for the 4th time, but this time, permanently. I was laid off with no notice, in the most demeaning and cruel way I could have imagined. I immediately applied to unemployment to hold me over while I started my job hunt, but because I was an independent contractor there for the past 4 years, it seems like the govt does not like that and I have been denied for it. I've tried to reapply 3x and they keep asking for more proof of income, which I literally don't have because I was laid off...(someone make it make sense?!) My sublet with my bestie has now come to an end, and I've got to move out on 10/31 to allow for the new permanent roommate to move in. I obviously wasn't expecting to be laid off while I was here, so now I'm in a bind where I'm unemployed and I can't afford to move out when I'm supposed to. All that being said, I have some incredible friends who are going to let me stay with them for a while until I get back on my feet, but I need some help getting my things into a storage unit while I crash.

I realllyyyy hate asking for help in general, and I especially hate having to ask again after just a few months. It makes me feel like I've been sitting on my ass this entire time, when I know that has been far from the case. I've still been teaching yoga (thank god that a lot of teachers are on vacay lately because I been JUMPING on those sub requests!!) And working with recruiters and applying like crazy to whatever I can (thanks to the friends who have given me some leads.) I'm hopeful that something will come through soon, but in the meantime I'm just focused on making sure I'm able to move out and get my things in storage over the next couple of weeks.

I deeply appreciate you reading thus far. Any little bit helps! And if you've wanted to try Reiki but haven't reached out to me yet, feel free to hit me up for a session. I see my clients at Tigerlily Holistic but I do home visits as well. Whatever makes you the most comfy.

xoxo
