Hi everyone, my name is Yaritza, and I’m reaching out today to ask for support for my dad and our family during an incredibly difficult time. Just a week before Thanksgiving, my dad, grandparents, and brother lost their home to a devastating fire. A place where I also once lived and made memories. Even though I now live in North Carolina and can’t be there in person, I’m doing everything I can to help relieve some of the pressure he’s feeling right now.

My dad is the kind of person who never asks for much. He’s always been the one to figure things out on his own. I know he’ll get through this, but I also know he needs support now more than ever. He has done so much for me throughout my life. He and my grandparents have always shown me love. I want to support them the best I can as they navigate the aftermath of this loss.

The fire caused significant damage, leaving my dad and family without a home and forcing them to find temporary housing while they work towards rebuilding. The funds raised will help cover costs for temporary housing, replacing essential items (such as furniture, clothing, and electronics), and starting the long process of rebuilding their home. I know times are hard for so many, especially within our Hispanic community, but even reading, sharing, or keeping our family in your thoughts means so much to us.
