Help Rebuild Jamaica After Hurricane Melissa

My name is Yanique Walters, founder of the Sis, You Are HER movement — a platform focused on helping women heal, evolve, and reclaim what’s theirs.
I was born and raised in Spanish Town, Jamaica, and though I now live in Atlanta, Georgia, my heart will always be at home.

Over the years, I’ve made it my mission to give back to the people of Jamaica through food drives, back-to-school initiatives, and community outreach. I have family and friends on the island who were directly affected by Hurricane Melissa, and many others in surrounding parishes are still without homes, clothing, food, and basic supplies.

In three weeks, I’ll be traveling to Jamaica to personally deliver aid and ensure every donation reaches those who need it most.

Your contributions will be used specifically for:
  • Purchasing nonperishable food items and bottled water
  • Providing beds, bedding, and clothing to displaced families
  • Buying toiletries and hygiene products
  • Supporting local rebuilding efforts by purchasing materials such as plywood, zinc, and cement

If you prefer to donate clothing or physical items, you can contact me directly for drop-off or mailing details.

Every dollar and every gesture of kindness makes a difference. Together, we can help the people of Jamaica heal, rebuild, and reclaim what they’ve lost.

Please donate, share, and help spread the word. Let’s show Jamaica that love travels farther than any storm.
