I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of Cola, who is doing everything she can for her beloved dog, Yang — a white, albino Doberman who has been her emotional anchor through an extremely challenging chapter of life.
Due to difficult circumstances, Cola and Yang have been unhoused for some time. Through it all, Yang has been cared for with love, consistency, and daily attention. But the reality is that living primarily out of a car is not a sustainable environment for a large, energetic dog. Friends often let them use their yards so Yang can stretch his legs, which helps, but those moments are temporary and not a long-term solution.
I am a local firefighter who has become a trusted friend, and I’ve been helping her with Yang. I have experience fostering and rescuing dogs, and based on what I’ve observed, Yang is beginning to show signs of behavioral regression. It isn’t severe, but it is the kind of thing that’s best addressed early — before it becomes harder on both Yang and Cola.
What We’re Trying to Do
We’re working to enroll Yang in a reputable 21-day behavioral training program in Arroyo Grande. I’ve sent several dogs there with great success, and the facility has generously agreed to honor a firefighter discount and extend their Black Friday pricing.
The total cost for the full 21-day program is around $2,600, which includes:
- Comprehensive behavioral training
- Food throughout his stay
- Any additional work Yang may need
Why This Matters
Getting Yang into this program is more than just training — it’s a chance at stability for both Yang and Cola. Improving his behavior and wellbeing will make their current situation more manageable and give them more options moving forward.
Transparency
Every receipt will be posted, and the facility’s contact information will be available for anyone who wants to verify details directly. If you choose to call, it won’t be to ask personal questions about Yang or Cola’s situation — something as simple as, “I helped with a donation; can you confirm there’s a dog named Yang enrolled?” is perfectly appropriate. Trust matters, and we want to honor it completely.
How You Can Help
Any amount truly helps. Even small contributions move Yang closer to the opportunity he deserves — and offer real support to Cola, who is trying her absolute best in a tough time.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read, care, and support. Sharing this campaign is also incredibly appreciated.
