Help Yana, a Ukrainian student, go to university

Donation protected
Friends, I am mentoring a very bright girl from Ukraine who comes from an unprivileged background. She is trying to transfer to the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) to continue her studies in a safe environment. Luckily, she was accepted to AUBG with a very good scholarship. However, Yana needs to pay $1,192 in order to start the semester (classes have already started). Given the short notice, we are unable to find funds so quickly. Please help Yana start her classes ASAP by donating any amount. If 100 people donate $12, we will be able to get her started with school. Yana loves AUBG and is hoping to have the opportunity to study and learn in a safe environment. Thank you!

Below please find a note from Yana:

Dear all,

My name is Yana and I was a Ukrainian student at the National University of Kyiv, which is considered as the best university in my country, and was running a 3rd-year of my studies in Finance, Banking and Insurance before the war broke down.
I come from very humble backgrounds where I had to fight for the opportunity to have access to education. I realized at a young age that education is the only way for young students to find good jobs and start a career so my parents would be proud of me. Through lots of mental hardships and being able to pass all state exams successfully I ended up getting the full scholarship for studying in the best university of Ukraine. Everything went pretty well — being one of the best students, achieving English proficiency, getting the internship at a telecom company I couldn't even dream of. The 24th of February changed the direction of my life totally. My university was closed down for a while. I came back home totally devastated, shaking and waking up from bombs and sirens with no understanding what would happen the next hour or day. The thing that was clear enough is no more access to education. Defending the country is a priority.
Thankfully to my mentor Elitsa I got the opportunity to move to Bulgaria and receive access to world-class education in a safe environment. I have spent 5 months here already and that was a totally enjoyable and valuable time to develop and enrich my outlook. I have a strong desire to continue studying here at least for the next year. Due to the current situation financial struggles have arised. The university covered a significant amount of money, but I am still in need to find $1192 to cover the other expenses such as student activities, housing, textbooks, etc. I will not have much scholarship for the 2nd semester so I will need to figure it out as well.
I have a dream to make my community a better place to live and have a family in order for Ukrainians to stay in Ukraine and find a good job and develop the country. I want to make Ukrainians achieve the Ukrainian dream and I believe in order to be able to achieve my dream, I need to learn from the top university in the world. I am striving to move forward and believe that education in a safe environment will help me develop the leadership potential and provide me with the knowledge and skills that allow me to improve my own home community.
