Help Xitlally complete Spring 2025 Semester

Hello, my name is Xitlally and I am a first generation university student. I was born in Los Angeles and am the eldest daughter of two hardworking Mexican immigrants who raised me to achieve more than they were able to. I received Highest Honors at Santa Monica College for getting two Associate's Degrees with a 4.0 GPA. One is in Early Childhood Education and the other is in Social and Behavioral Sciences. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor's Degree at Cal State Long Beach in Child Development and Family Studies. It is my passion to work with young children and hope to become a toddler teacher.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, my FAFSA application has been repeatedly rejected based on the immigration status of a parent. The new FAFSA system is supposed to be more accessible for children of an undocumented parent, but after speaking with FAFSA representatives and retrying for months, the website gives me an error when I mark my parent as not having a SSN. This problem has resulted in me being unable to submit my FAFSA application for this year. This has caused me to have to pay for the 24-25 academic year out of pocket. I was able to pay my Fall semester in full by using up all my savings, along with the help of my partner in the U.S. ARMY. However, we have finished our savings and my income is not enough to pay this Spring Semester. My pursuit of education is the most important goal in my life and I have fought tooth and nail to try paying Spring tuition on my own, but my classes were cancelled at Week 5 of the semester for not having the full tuition amount. I would immensely appreciate any help that would allow me to re-enroll as soon as possible and finish this academic year. Once again, I am grateful for any support.
