My name is Xinia Andrea David, and on October 27, my life changed in a way I never expected. I was diagnosed with breast cancer — specifically ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) with microinvasion. This means the cancer has just begun to spread, and I now need surgery and ongoing medical care to protect my life and future. I am facing all of this with no health insurance, and the financial burden is overwhelming.

I am a mother first before anything else. My son is currently in college, working hard toward his future, and he still needs me more than ever. I want to be there for every milestone, every achievement, and every moment of his life. That is what keeps me strong, even on the days when fear tries to take over.
