Xeno is the sweetest cat you'd ever meet and hes my best friend. Xeno was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and lameness which means he has trouble walking. His back leg's joint is rubbing against the socket causing him to not put any pressure on his leg. He no longer jumps or plays with his brother's. We are moving houses in july and the new house has stairs that Xeno won't be able to use. He needs surgery to correct the posture of his hip where they remove the femoral head and let it fill in with muscle tissue. (FHO Femoral head ostectomy) This procedure on average costs $2000-$3000 depending on severity. We are searching for people who want to help with the quality of life for my baby boy. EDIT: new xrays show that the right socket is the one presenting with dysplasia but because he was born with this and its been growing with him, his left leg is now forming out of the socket resulting in a "frog-like" posture. He limps on his left leg, never putting pressure on it causing excess stress on his right leg. Awaiting another surgical consultation it does seem as though he needs one FHO surgery for his right leg soon and a second surgery to fix the growth in his left leg.
