Xena is my Great Pyrenees Golden Retriever Mix, and she just turned 5 in March!

I adopted her when she was 5 months old from Take Me Home Pet Rescue in Richardson, TX.

She has been my dream come true as I have wanted a dog ever since I was 5 years old. She was a gift for my birthday from my parents :)

I am forever grateful for this pup right here. She has been by my side through it all. Multiple moves, ups and downs of navigating college, transitioning into corporate, dating and getting married, and so much more.

I am looking forward to many more years with Xena, and I hope to one day introduce her to our future children.

Xena has had a rough go at it with her legs. She tore both her back ACLs over the span of the past 2.5 years. We did surgery on one of them and she has recovered well and is using that leg. The other still needs surgery.

Our pet insurance is now refusing to pay for the other leg's surgery, deeming it a "bilateral condition" even though the injury came after the insurance policy was established. The cost for the surgery will be $4300.

We are looking for any help that y'all can give us to contribute to covering the costs for this sweet girl's surgery. It would improve her quality of life so much, not having to limp around or gallop with that leg.

Anyone who knows Xena knows what a joy she is to those around her and how much she loves everyone she meets.
