Hi everyone,

We are raising funds to buy a specialised sports wheelchair for our sports mad little boy Wynter so he can play the sport he loves: wheelchair rugby league.

Wynter is a bright, determined and fun-loving boy who lives and breathes rugby. Over the last 2 years his life has changed dramatically due to a complex combination of a syrinx in his spinal cord and functional neurological disorder making him a full time wheelchair user.

Navigating these challenges at such a young age hasn't been easy but Wynter handles it with incredible resilience. While his condition means he can no longer play traditional sports he has found a new love and a vital community in wheelchair rugby league - an inclusive, fast paced, brilliant sport where he can be just one of the team players.

Right now he is borrowing a club chair which is too big and heavy because it doesn't fit him correctly. To play safely, look after his spine and truly compete he needs a custom - built light weight sports wheelchair. These specialised chairs are designed to withstand the high impact knocks while protecting his body but they come with a hefty price tag that we cannot meet alone.

Having his own sports chair would mean the world to Wynter so much so he has asked for one from Santa!

A sports chair of his own will give him the chance to just be a kid playing sports with his friends along with boosting his mental health and confidence.

Any donation, no matter how small will make a massive difference in getting Wynter the right chair to continue to go from strength to strength on the pitch.
