Support Wylder’s Recovery & Our Family During This Time
Our sweet 3-year-old son, Wylder, recently experienced a life-changing accident at home while we were processing game meat. We immediately called 911, and he was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. After doctors assessed the severity of his hand injury, he was airlifted to Seattle for emergency surgery with specialized hand surgeons.
The doctors did everything in their power to save his hand and fingers. Unfortunately, despite their incredible efforts, Wylder lost four of his fingers and part of his palm on his left hand. They were able to save his thumb, and for that we are beyond grateful.
Through all of this, Wylder has shown a strength that amazes us every single day. He is healing quickly, staying in good spirits, and already running around like the happy, energetic little boy he’s always been. His resilience is inspiring.
As parents, this has been incredibly traumatic. Jeannette and I are both taking time off work under FMLA to care for Wylder as he heals and adjusts. While we are grateful to be home with him, this time away from work has created financial strain on our family.
We are humbly asking for support during this difficult season. Funds raised will help cover:
• Travel expenses for ongoing appointments in Seattle
• Food and transportation during medical visits
• Rent and utilities while we are off work
• Additional unexpected expenses related to Wylder’s recovery
We don’t have a specific financial goal — we are deeply grateful for any amount given. Every donation, share, and prayer means more to us than we can express.
Thank you for standing with our family and supporting Wylder as he continues to heal and grow stronger every day.
With gratitude and love,
Shane , Jeannette & Wylder
