It's been a loooong day for both Wyatt and Nicolee. We are now home and he is recovering from his surgery this afternoon. We arrived home at almost 7:00 P.M. this evening. His anesthesia is beginning to wear off and he has long acting pain medication in his system which should last about 3 days. It will be interesting to see how he adapts to life with 3 legs.

I stopped the fundraising since we now have enough to cover the cost of his surgery and all the blood work that the other vet did not do. It was amazing to experience how one veterinarian hospital charged so much less than another for their services. I don't understand it, but I am grateful for the work of the caring staff at Anicira in Encinitas!

We are also so grateful for the grant from a local non-profit, FCIA...Foundation for the Care of Indigent Animals. https://fcianimals.org/. The S.D. Humane Society referred us to them, and they covered expenses for some other blood work and pain medications yesterday.

Our family is extremely thankful for the gracious donations made on behalf of our wonderful feline friend. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! And thank you for all of your prayers!!! We will do our best to post pictures of Wyatt and his journey on Facebook.
