Help Wanderlust Theatre Co Bring DRACULA to life!

Donation protected
HELLO! WE ARE WANDERLUST THEATRE COMPANY,  AND WE NEED YOUR HELP TO BRING OUR ORIGINAL ADAPTATION OF BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA TO LIFE!

WHO ARE WE? Wanderlust Theatre Company (WTC) is a collective of artists serving the community of the Applegate Valley in Southern Oregon through immersive, theatrical productions and experiences. We believe in the power of art to promote collaboration, inclusion, diversity, and environmental stewardship in our community. Wanderlust strives to uphold these values by producing work in non-traditional spaces, creating artistic workshops for the public, and highlighting the Applegate Valley's natural treasures through performance and spectacle.

In September of 2019, WTC produced its inaugural show, Neverland, an original adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan. Audience members traveled over half a mile across five different sets while following 16 actors in original costumes as they performed the world-premiere script with original live music and choreography. An incredible success, Neverland enjoyed a completely sold-out run with over 850 audience members attending in total. Many patrons even returned to experience the show for a second or third time. After the fantastic response to Neverland, WTC was eager and excited to launch their next project.

However, this year has been tremendously difficult. The constant, ever-changing consequences of COVID’s rapid spread, environmental chaos, civil unrest, and general uncertainty have brought our country and our community to their knees. In perhaps the most horrifying part of this year, a man-made wildfire threatened our entire valley and razed two of our local towns to the ground, causing devastation from which our community will not soon recover. Nationally, the infrastructure that has nurtured theater in America is beginning to crumble as companies and venues continue to close down due to COVID-related restrictions. In the face of these difficulties, Wanderlust Theatre Company feels called to create, to heal, and to build toward a better future. We feel uniquely positioned as a company that produces outdoor theater to rise to the challenge of this moment and to create something joyful for our community to experience collectively.

Luckily, our partnership with LongSword Vineyard allows Wanderlust to create fairly massive shows with fairly modest budgets because the company doesn’t have to rent rehearsal or performance space...

And, thanks to the generous support by A Greater Applegate and the Jackson County Cultural Coalition, we are well on our way to our fundraising goal...

But we’re not there yet...

AND THAT'S WHERE YOU COME IN!
