Update: unfortunately wrigley did not make it. his condition took a turn and he was in pain. He passed in my arms on 1/5/2026 around 9:43 pm. thank you all for your help and support.

Im so sorry to even be doing this, but here it goes: Wrigley is my first dog i’ve had on my own. Saying he means the world to me is an understatement. He has been with me through so much in just 8 short years. Unfortunately, on December 23rd going into Christmas Eve, he had to undergo emergency surgery to remove a tumor from his spleen, as well as the spleen itself. The news was devastating, and out of nowhere. He was totally fine, until that night when he showed such minor signs of something being off, that i was ready for the ER to tell me I was over reacting. But I wasn’t. And since then, he’s faced several complications. The vets think it’s likely an aggressive cancer, and while there’s still a small chance it isn’t, the prognosis is not very good or timely. Despite the odds, I had to give him a fighting chance. he’s the most deserving, loving boy, and I couldn’t give up on him. It was my job as his mom to try. Trying to save Wrigley has already put me in significant debt, and it’s taken a toll on my credit score. As a single income household, I simply don’t make enough to cover these bills, even on a monthly basis. I never imagined I’d be in a position to ask for help, and it’s taken a lot of consideration and support from others to even ask. If you’re able to help, whether by donating or just sharing Wrigley’s story, it would mean everything to me. I want to give him the best care possible and keep him comfortable for whatever time we have left together. Please do not donate if you yourself are struggling. It’s already killing me to even do this. Your kindness and support, in any form, will help me help my boy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know no amount of fundraising will change his odds. But I still had to try. At the time of the surgery, his 30% odds of a full recovery felt very likely, as the tumor did not seem to have metastasized. We will know by 1/10 if it is cancer. Thank you for taking the time to hear about my boy. My overall goal right now is 8,000. I don’t know why it’s doing it in increments, but I want to be very transparent about that.
